Meet The Team

Fabian K.

Hi, I’m Fabian and I started Kinetik Cycles in 2010. I’ve been mountain biking for over 20 years now and I sure hope I can continue on for another 20 years at least. I love riding local trails on Burke, Eagle, Seymour and Fromme but my favorite trails to ride are flowy fast jump trails in Whistler Bike Park. I have also tried road riding for about 3 years a few years back and I am still trying to find more time to do indoor dirt jumping during the wet season but I always end up riding out in the mountains. Around the shop you might find me sweeping, cleaning washrooms, or drilling and hammering but mostly I take care of all the back-end boring paperwork dealing with numbers, invoices and ordering. During the bike park season, you may find me either sitting in Long Horn drinking beer or in the lift line-up if I am not at the shop. Lol.

Sasha B.

Hi, I’m Sasha and I’m the Sales Manager of the best local bike shop in the lower mainland! You can usually find me at the front desk answering emails and phones, while I’m involved in the day-to-day running of the shop. I’m also the official staff birthday cake purchaser and store DJ (think Herb Alpert, Jack Johnson, Rage Against The Machine, and Chemical Brothers). All the while chatting with regulars about their new bike purchase and what new trails are being built. I’ve been mountain biking since before there were houses on Burke Mountain and a campground on Dewdney Trunk Road. So let’s just say over 25 years. My favorite place to ride is Whistler Bike Park and you can find me on black tech trails like Afternoon Delight, Lower Whistler Downhill, Original Sin and Duffman. Locally I’ll ride Fromme, Thorne Hill and SFU. I also enjoy my yearly summer bike trip to Silverstar.

Hi, I'm Dan and I work as part of the service and sales team's here at Kinetik. My role at the shop involves a little bit of everything! From servicing and new bike builds to inventory management, warranty claims, and customer service. My favorite local places to ride are Eagle mountain and Thornhill.

Callum C.

Hi, I’m Callum. I’ve been riding mountain bikes for the past 13 years while turning wrenches, enjoying the scent of chain lube, and occasionally getting covered in suspension oil for the last 8 years. Bikes have helped me develop some of my closest friendships as well as bringing me to some pretty unique and beautiful locations. Though the local North Shore mountains are my most frequented places to ride, the interior of BC with its wide-open and fast paced single-track has always been my favorite spot to make road trips to. In my younger years I attempted to race downhill, however a general lack of speed has relegated me to enjoying more time on both my gravel and trail bikes. I am forever tinkering with bikes and I look forward to seeing you at the shop and on the trails.

Jared E.

Hey, I’m Jared, and I’m a part of the Sales & Service team here at Kinetik. I’ve been riding bikes since the age of 2, but raced BMX competitively for 16 years, 5 of those years being at the National & International level. I’ve been Mountain Biking for 3 years. I spend my days helping the sales and service teams here at Kinetik Cycles. Whether that's helping customers find they’re next new bike, deciding on their next upgrade in the parts department, or helping with the occasional bike build. My favorite place to ride would be Thornhill where the trail OSR got me stoked on mountain biking because coming from BMX, it's all about speed, flow, and jumps. Other places I really enjoy riding are Whistler, Burnaby mountain, Seymour, Fromme, Eagle, Burke and Railside skatepark! I also enjoy camping, surfing, snowboarding, hockey, and motorcycles. My favorite trick is between a barspin and a turndown.

Jenna M.

Jenna Makgill aka 'JenJen'.
As a whipper snapper I was making ramps in the the back yark with ABC beer crates (it's a kiwi thing) and changing out tubes with forks, much to my fathers displeasure. As New Zealander, it safe to say that the flowy, droolworthy trails of Rotorua are my favorite of all time. Racing has seen me travel all over the globe within most diciplines that have 2 wheels. DH, Enduro, XC, Road, or cyclocross... been there and loved it. With a colourful past, it's safe to say I have worn many hats within the world of Kinetik cycles, though my favorite place is at the workstand throwing tools about.

Sylvain P.

I grew up in France which is where I started mountain biking. I've been spinning my legs for 30+ years, from XC riding to Dirt jumping to Enduro, and I occasionally ride my gravel bike (to work). When I'm not riding Burke, Eagle, the North Shore or the Sea to Sky, you can find me in the shop. I'm one of the senior mechanics here at Kinetik, and my role is to make sure that all bikes and riders leaving our workshop will have a good time riding their bikes. My go to snacks during a bike ride: cheese, baguette and wine ! (oui oui of course). True facts - I've never owned a DH bike or a beret.

Kaden P.

Hey I’m Kaden! I’m one of the sales staff here at Kinetik. My role here has a lot to to with the organization of the shop, but I also work on emails, online orders, and everything in between. I’ve only been mountain biking for around the last few years but I’ve always enjoyed biking. If I had to choose a favourite place to ride I would say somewhere local like Eagle or Burke, but I love discovering new places to ride. I really enjoy fast trails with lots of rock rolls and exposed rocks! Some of my other hobbies include hiking, climbing, camping/backpacking, and pretty much any outdoor activities.

Aaron T.

Hi, my name is Aaron and I’ve been in the industry for the last 10 years. Whether you're looking for sales or service, I'm often the first face you'll find greeting you. Most of my days consist of finding solutions for those inquiring through our service channels, but I'm always eager to help those walking our sales floor too. Having started in the road world, my introduction to the flat bar life was through a street trials bike I bought at the start of 2019. After joining the Kinetik team in 2021, I've been diving deep into MTBs and have found a forever home within this great community. It might be a little early for favorites, as I still have so much to explore, but the afterwork Eagle loop has been my flavor of choice since the first ride.

Adam V.

My name is Adam Volk and I’m one of the mechanics at Kinetik Cycles. I’ve been riding mountain bikes for almost 10 years. When I’m not fixing bikes, I’ll be at the local mountains riding the steepest trails I can find, or pretending I’m good at tricks at the skatepark on my dirt jumper. If I can’t find time to ride, it’s because I’m at my other job doing lights for concerts and festivals across Canada.

Hey, I'm Adam Woodhouse. I’m one of the mechanics here at Kinetik. I’ve been working here for about 4 years. My main job in the shop is repairing and building bikes and keeping our customers rolling! I got my training wheels off when I was 2 and haven’t stopped riding ever since! I race DH full time in the summer, competing in the BC Cup and Canada Cup series. My favorite places to ride would have to be Cypress mountain and Mt Prevost on Vancouver Island.
